| Who
are we? |
- Rockland Friends of the Clearwater
is Rockland County's local sloop club. RFOC is associated
with the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater and is an affiliate
of the Friends of the Nyacks. It was formed in 1999 at
the personal request of Pete Seeger (who lived in Rockland
as a boy) and who always wanted a sloop club in Rockland
County.

|
| What
is our mission? |
- The mission is to support the Clearwater's
efforts to preserve and protect the ecology of the Hudson
River Valley, with a special focus on Rockland County.
RFOC does this through direct efforts and by engaging
in activities near and on the Hudson River that promote
environmental awareness and a commitment to the preservation
of the Hudson River Valley.
